Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue was featured on the front page of The Avenue News due to receiving a $15,632 grant from the Leary Firefighters Foundation. The grant gives us 16 Seek Thermal Reveal Fire Pro Thermal Imaging Cameras that were purchased through MESFire. We will have a thermal imaging camera that are the size of your average smartphone available for every riding position on our Engine, Squad, & Ladder Truck.
The grant also gives us two Fast Boards from FAST Rescue Solutions for our Squad and Ladder Truck. These boards will be used for downed firefighter and victim removal. This board can also be used for Confined Space Rescue, Mass Casualty Incidents, Water & Ice Rescues, and other miscellaneous jobs.
We are grateful to the Leary Firefighters Foundation for the $15,632 grant that improves our company operations and service to the community which without their help, would not have been possible at all.t.
