Today marks the 12th year anniversary since the line of duty death of Connie C. Bornman. Connie, an EMT with the Middle River Volunteer Ambulance Rescue Company, Inc. (MRVAR), was driving a seriously ill patient to the hospital when she went into sudden cardiac arrest. Although life saving measures were performed on Connie by her colleagues, Connie succumbed to her illness.
Connie spent most of her time at the firehouse and was a mentor to many members. She was known around the station as “Momma Conn”. She was looked at by many members as their second mom. Connie continues to be missed everyday by the many people that she come into contact with and affected. She touched the lives of so many people, patients, students, members, and her family.
On this day, please keep Connie’s family in your thoughts and prayers and Connie may you continue to keep watch over us from high above.
